A word from me
I am a singer and Irish speaker living in the west of Ireland. For as long as I can remember, sean-nós has been the sound of home — the ache of it, the quiet of it, the way a single unaccompanied voice can hold a whole life.
I write bespoke songs in Irish for the people and moments you want to mark. A wedding vow set in verse. A father remembered. A child welcomed by name. Every song is written slowly, by hand, listening to what you tell me.

A sean-nós song does not ask to be understood — it asks to be felt. The unaccompanied voice, the old Irish vowels, the long held notes: they hush a room, gather the guests, and carry everyone somewhere quiet and true. That is the atmosphere I hope to bring to your day.
- What if I don't speak Irish — will my guests understand?
- Understanding the words is not important, and I promise this with all my heart. Sean-nós is one of the most emotionally moving styles of song in the world — the feeling lives in the voice, the ornament, the silence between the lines. Guests who have never heard a word of Irish are often the most affected. You will feel it in the room. I will always provide the English translation on fine paper, so anyone who wishes to read along can, in their own time.
- Do you sing other songs or play music for the full ceremony?
- I offer an acapella service only — a single unaccompanied voice is the heart of sean-nós, and it is what I do. That said, on consultation I am very happy to sing other songs of your choosing in the same acapella style, if that would suit your ceremony. We can talk it through together.
